  1. Where does PleaseTakeMeTo.com get its listings information from?

    Our information and photographs for all free listings and many locations from the Australian Tourism Data Warehouse. ATDW is a national body which compiles information from all state tourism bodies and attempts to maximise the exposure of that information. 

  2. My business is not listed on PleaseTakeMeTo.com. How can I have it listed?

    Listings are complimentary to all ATDW members. To join ATDW you need to contact the relevant people in your State Tourism Office. These details are available at: www.atdw.com.au/update_product_info.asp .

    Once you have joined ATDW, you will be automatically listed with PleaseTakeMeTo.com. This process can take 2 - 3 weeks.

  3. How do I update my information / photographs?

    It's important that you check and update your information in the ATDW on a regular basis as it is published in many different places, including PleaseTakeMeTo.com. You can change your information in the ATDW through your State Tourism Office. Contact details are available at: www.atdw.com.au/update_product_info.asp .
    Changes you make in your ATDW listings will be automatically reflected on PleaseTakeMeTo.com. Please allow 2-3 weeks for those changes to take effect.

    PleaseTakeMeTo.com cannot update this information on your behalf.

  4. Can I select a different photograph for my PleaseTakeMeTo Australia listing?

    Yes. But for paid listings only. For complimentary listings, our programming selects one of the (low resolution) images you have with the ATDW. Unfortunately we are unable to specify which image that will be.

  5. Why is my town not on the map?

    Many towns and locations that deserve to be featured are not. Quite simply, we have been unable to gather appropriate material for them. We're constantly adding more locations and better media to PleaseTakeMeTo.com, but unfortunately I can't promise which location will be next. 

    Location markers on our maps only denote locations for which have media; video and or pictures and text. They are not meant as geographic maps. However,in the web site, all physical locations can be found on the Google Map which appears when you click on 'Accommodation' or 'Sightseeing and Attractions' for the region. Paid listings receive a location marker on the Google map. We also have a search function which will allows users to find businesses by name or location. 

  6. What can I do to get my town on the map?

    We encourage you to contact your Regional Tourism body to see if they can provide us with material and also ask if you can help yourself. Provided you are able to provide us with a statement to the effect that you are the copyright owner of the images submitted, we can review that material with a view to integrating it into the PleaseTakeMeTo.com product at some point although we make no promises to do so.

  7. What is the benefit in having a paid listing?

    Paid listings in PleaseTakeMeTo.com receive a higher ranking than complimentary listings, a thumbnail image
    in the list before your listing is clicked on, higher resolution image/s and the ability to incorporate a 'BOOK NOW' button which will process bookings through the booking engine of your choice.

  8. How do the rankings work?

    Listings within PleaseTakeMeTo.com are on the basis of listing value and date of booking. It's a 'first in, best dressed' system. Please visit www.pleasetakemeto.com/advertise-with-us to see listing options.

  9. How do I get material into my paid listing?

    Once you make a booking, you are sent a username and password. This will allow you to log on to our secure client area and upload images and text. Please note that text is only required for Premium Display listings and above where the listing includes multiple menu items. The 'Overview' text for these listings and text for 'Basic' and 'Display' listings is drawn from your ATDW material. This makes sense as it means you only have to change information in one place instead of many.

  10. Can I change my text and images in a paid listing.

    Yes. You can always access your listing content through the secure client area and upload new images and text as required.
